Walking down the street,
I heed a beep,
The sound of a car,
Waiting for the child to finish his leap,
across the street.
Sitting on the bus,
I catch a honk,
The cadence of a bottom,
Letting go of those beans after a bonk,
on the head for forgetting his homework on the street.
Jotting notes in school,
I descry a screech,
The sound of a pair of feet,
Being schlepped to guidance for eating a peach,
espied on the street.
Sounds to be heard across the world,
Sounds to be heard for the ear to listen,
and sounds to be heard for you and for me.
